How to do Practice of your Vlocity Components?
To In your Developler org there is no option to install vlocity component. Yes it is not possible to install it directly. But salesforce provides us an option to create free vlocity enabled account and use it.
For that you need to follow the steps-
- Login to trailhead page. Go to https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/
- Search "OmniStudio DataRaptors" in the search. It will show you some modules. You need to select the first one as shown in the image-
- After clicking on the module you will find 3 courses. You need to click on the third one - "Build a DataRaptor Turbo Extract and DataRaptor Load"
- Select "Build a DataRaptor Turbo Extract and DataRaptor Load". Once open you need to scroll all the way to down and at "Resources" section you will find a link -"Developer Org: OmniStudio Developer Edition Org (Sign Up Required). Click on that link - https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/promo/orgs/omnistudiotrails
- This page is to create the a Developer org. But this is not similar to other developer orgs that we generally used. It will get expired in 180 days. After that you can create another developer org using same steps.
Since this org will expire and then you will not be able to login again so you need to take the backup of your all vlocity, omnistudio components. We will post another blog to show you how we can export the Vlocity/Omniscript
